Tomorrow’s Leaders Celebrate 5th Annual Thanksgiving Dinner

At the beautifully decorated Nexgen facility on Woolford Avenue, over 250 kids were invited to an elegant sit down dinner with full service by Balance Waiters, saxophone music by Roy Stewart and a performance by the Gospel Band of Ryan Patterson, as Diane Innis, owner of Party Castle and the Candy Store joined forces with Nexgen Golf Academy to host her 5th Annual Thanksgiving Dinner for Tomorrow’s Leaders, children from homes and orphanages around the country.
According to Ms. Innis, “We started this with a small idea 5 years ago and it has grown exponentially every year. I wish to thank all our supporters P&P Insurance, Michelle, Leroy Paul, Melrose, Philip, Steve, Roy, Aleem, my family and all those who have been there for these wonderful children every year.”
The Tomorrow’s Leaders dinner event is designed to give children an experience that provides them with hope and hear words of encouragement from persons who also faced struggles in their early years but overcame all obstacles to become successful.
Performing for the audience was Joshua Humphrey, whose amazing voice captivated the listeners and was called back for several encores. All of the children were given an opportunity to talk about themselves and their dreams and nothing was more evident than their desire to succeed despite their current circumstances.
Members of Diane’s family also provided all the special guests with books, toys, backpacks and other gifts.
