Kaieteur News – Known as ‘the home of Legends’, the Demerara Cricket Club (DCC), is located in heart of the Queenstown Ward in the City and come August 15, the club begins its 2022 Summer Youth Camp.
The two-week camp is scheduled to conclude on August 26 and participants are asked to pay $1,000 or ($500) for one week.
The registration fee for the participants, between the ages of 7-years and 17, includes Cricket Gear, refreshments and Lunch.
Highly qualified Coaches Roger Harper, Mark Harper, Clyde Butts, Abena Parker, Derien Best and Kevin Ross will provide sessions in cricket basics (Batting, Bowling, Fielding)
Skill development, Building and Improving Athletic Capabilities, Mental Skills, Personal and Life Skills, Discipline, Goal setting and Tactical Awareness, Captaincy and Leadership Skills and much more.
The Dress Code is Track Pants or Sports Shorts, white tee or Polo Shirts, track boots, Sneakers and socks.
