Dear Editor,
Kindly permit me to share a few thoughts this Easter time, as we celebrate the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. Who is this Person that had such a profound effect on mankind that history is recorded – before Christ (BC) and after Christ (AD – anno domino – in the year of the Lord).
Here are some famous statements made by this Prophet of God, who is recognised as such by other religious groups.
“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6.
“… He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?” John 14:9
“I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am he, you will indeed die in your sins.” John 8:24.
“I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me, though he may die, he shall live.” John 11:25.
Even as we fly our kites, let us remember His resurrection and join in the shout: CHRIST IS RISEN INDEED!
