Was the driver wanted by the police?
Dear Editor,
It was a reckless and poor decision by the police to pursue a high speed chase within the confines of the bridge in full view and use of other commuters and vehicles, in that horrific accident which resulted in loss of lives, injuries and damaged to property.
The police had the vehicle number and could have easily traced and arrested the driver. The high speed pursuit begs the question: was the driver a wanted criminal to have been pursued in this manner?
I extended condolences to the bereaved families and wish a full and speedy recovery to those injured and traumatised by this incident.
