Dear Editor,
Let me say upfront there was no intention to lie on Mr. Ramkarran. In writing the column there was no intention to attack Mr. Ramkarran. The dispute happened a long time ago, almost 30 years ago so there would have been some grey areas of memory. I hold nothing personal against Mr. Ramkarran. It was my sincere recollection that a libel suit was filed. I apologise if Mr. Ramkarran felt aggrieved. Mr. Ramkarran’s statement that no writ was filed is accepted by me. I sincerely apologise. I can assure Mr. Ramkarran the matter is now dead for me and I have no intention of ever raising the subject again. I would like to repeat that there was never any intention of insult or intent to lie on Mr. Ramkarran. Once more I apologise and ask Mr. Ramkarran to accept the apology in good faith.
Frederick Kissoon
