DVA A division league…
Kaieteur News – Eagles Volleyball Club are flying high after bouncing back following two losses in the Demerara Volleyball Association (DVA) A Division league with a straight sets victory over table toppers Young Achievers last Friday.
Playing at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall (CASH) Eagles came out soaring in the first set in the game to defeat Young Achievers 25-16 and despite Achievers taking an early six-point lead in the second, Eagles still battled hard to win 27-17.
They closed out the clean sweep of sets with a 25-18 victory and most important, five points to their tally in the Demerara Volleyball Association League.
Quacy Matheson (12 points), Adriel Moore (ten points), and Kristoff Shepperd (eight points) did the damage for Eagles.
The action continues on Tuesday, with Eagles battling Castrol Strikers at 19:30hrs.
