Kaieteur News – Two individuals were the victims of a robbery that occurred on Wednesday night while at a construction site.
According to a police report, the two male victims identified as a 41-year-old and 60-year-old, were in Orealla Avenue, South Ruimveldt, Georgetown, at a building that is currently under construction. At 20:30hrs the two men were approached and attacked by two armed bandits.
The bandits then pointed their guns at the victims and ordered them out of the yard. The victims were then instructed to lay on the parapet facedown. The 41-year old male was then searched and was robbed of a J2 cell phone valued $30,000, a LG cell phone valued $30,000 and $100,000 in cash
The second victim was robbed of $72,000 in cash and a Samsung A30 cell phone valued $55,000. The suspects then mounted a black and red Honda XR motorcycle and fled from the scene. Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
