Kaieteur News – All-Star emerged champions of the Trophy Stall Phagwah Dominoes competition which was contested on Sunday last Carlosh Sports bar in Good Success, Wakenaam.
All-Star took an early lead, chalking 18 games in the first sitting while Cool Runnins and Vibes were both tied on 11 games.
All- Star continued to dominate and managed 14 games in the second round while Cool Runnins and Vibes made 13 each.
All – Star marked 14 games to maintain their lead in the third sitting while Cool Runnins scored 18 and Vibes 14. All-Star continued to maintain their lead in the remaining rounds and came out with 72 games, while Cool Runnins made 70 and Vibes 62.
Raj Narine Singh made the maximum 18 games for the winners and was named man-of- the-match, while Khemraj Surujpaul and 15 and Krishendat Hansraj 14.
Tom Singh top scored for the runner up with 17 games while Amit Ramnarine scored 15 and Alex Chung 14.
Mohamed Kalam made 16, Nazeer Mohamed 12 and Vijay Persaud 12 for Vibes. Nazeer Mohamed expressed gratitude to Ramesh Sunich of Trophy Stall and congratulated the winners.
