Semis set for Everest tomorrow
Kaieteur News – After seven rounds of the Guyana Cricket Board’s (GCB) Tropical Spring Over-40 T20 cricket tournament with zones being played in Demerara, Berbice and Essequibo, it has come down to the final four teams clashing in tomorrow’s semi-finals at First-Class venue Everest on Camp Road in the City.
In Sunday’s quarter finals West Demerara Masters, West Demerara Mavericks, Jai Hind Jaguars from Albion Berbice and Regal Masters advanced to the ‘final four’ with West Demerara Masters battling West Demerara Mavericks at 9:30 am, while Jai Hind Jaguars face-off with Regal Masters at 1:45 pm.
The two winners will advance to the grand finale which is set for Saturday at noon at Everest with Sunday December13, being the reserve day in the event of rain.
The alternative venue for both semis and Final is the Enmore Community Centre ground on the East Coast of Demerara. This is due to the uncertainty of the weather in the City where most of the games were washed out.
According to the GCB, teams will be notified of the change, either the day before the matches or latest, the morning of the game.
