Kaieteur News – The Georgetown Softball Cricket League (GSCL) Inc has extended gratitude to its sponsors and other stakeholders following the successful hosting of the Prime Minister’s T20 Cup 4.
The tournament concluded on Sunday last at the Everest Cricket Club with Speedboat taking the open title after a 31-run win against Regal All stars. Earlier, Fisherman Masters overcame Wellman Masters to win the over 45 division, while Regal Legends retained the over 50 trophy following their win over Savage Legends.
The tournament brought relief to many following a hiatus due to the pandemic and credit must be given the organizers for a well run competition.The GSCL Inc has extended many thanks to its sponsors; Banks DIH, Chung’s Global, Danny Persaud (Youtuber) It’s our life ARD, Regal Stationery and Computer Centre, Elegance Jewellery and Pawn Shop, Price Chopper Store, Star Party Rentals, P&P Insurance, Mohamed’s Enterprise, Florida Guyana Hope, Crown Mining Supplies and Dinar Trading.

The Organisers would like to thank the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport and the Office of the Prime Minister as well as the umpires, teams, media, curators who worked tirelessly, staff of Regal Stationery and Computer Centre, Frederick Halley, CEO of Rockaway Group of Companies Mr. Hafeez Ali, Mr. Balkarran of New York President’s XI, commentators John Ramsingh and Inderjeet Persaud and the various clubs that hosted matches including Everest CC, Ogle SC, Lusignan SC, Queen’s College, Transport SC and Gandhi Youth Organisation.
At the presentation ceremony, Transport Sports Club was presented with a quantity of cricket gears from Prime Minister Mark Phillips, while GSCL Inc and Hafeez Ali of Rockaway Group of Companies both presented the Prime Minister with plaques as token of appreciation.
