Rain and Walk overs mars latest round W/Dem Masters win

The first game at Everest was washed out despite the brilliant sunshine.

Kaieteur News – The adverse weather and a couple of Walk-overs marred the latest round of the GCB/Tropical Spring 0-40 T20 cricket yesterday, while West Demerara beat Sand Pipers by three wickets in the lone victory registered yesterday.
At Everest in Georgetown, heavy overnight and morning showers resulted in the game between Everest Masters and Bel Air Rubis Ultra Tec being called off without a ball being.
Despite a bone dry pitch and sweltering head by mid-day the damage had already been done by seasonal adverse weather which had several parts of ground water logged.
The second game between West Demerara Masters and Sand Pipers saw Sand Piper bowled out for 60 from 11. 4 overs as nobody passed 20. Sudesh Persaud, the father of former Guyana U-19 Captain Travis Persaud was the best bowler with 2-15 for West Demerara Masters who reached 62-1 in 10.4 overs.
Danesh Persaud top scored with 23 as three bowlers captured two wickets in a losing effort.
At Enmore on the East Coast of Demerara, previously unbeaten West Demerara Mavericks gave Regal Masters a walk over before RP construction Legends got a Walk over from KV Construction who have pulled out of the competition.
Action continues tomorrow with Everest Masters scheduled to oppose KV Construction and Sand Pipers coming up against West Demerara at Everest.
