The Guyana Olympic Association (GOA) has planned a series of virtual activities to celebrate Olympic Day 2020 which was observed globally on June 23rd last.
The first (an exercise challenge) was posted on the GOA’s facebook page on Olympic Day – June 23rd, but up to date, no one has taken up the challenge.
The second Olympic Day event is a direct response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the GOA is asking all of the members of its affiliates, if at all possible, to donate blood at the Blood Bank at Lamaha & East Streets. The first donations will be taken today at 2:00pm, but persons can go any day thereafter.
This Thursday, July 9th, the third event; a Zoom Fitness session, will commence at 18:30hrs using the Zoom Meeting Platform.
The session will feature half-hour of aerobics (Jazzercise) from in the first segment, followed by ten minutes of strength exercises. The link to the zoom meeting will be posted on the GOA’s facebook page.
