Ninvalle for meeting with AIBA President

President of the Guyana Boxing Association Steve Ninvalle will travel to Panama next week to attend a meeting with AIBA President Dr. Mohamed Moustasane. Ninvalle will lead a team of 15 Caribbean confirmed officials for the meeting scheduled for January 18 in Panama City.

The meeting was called by the AIBA president with the goal of uniting through dialogue federations affiliated to the Americas Boxing Confederation (AMBC), discussing AIBA’s reform and future, organize training and courses for coaches, referees and judges, ringside Doctors, Cut Technicians, International Technical Officers and Technical Delegates among others. The AIBA president will also be meeting with individual presidents.
Ninvalle, a distinguished CARICOM sports administrator who is AMBC Vice President and Chairman of the Caribbean Boxing Steering Committee, said that he will use the occasion to push for the resuscitation of the Caribbean Boxing Association (CABA) and a boxing Academy in the region.
So far, Anguilla, Antigua, Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, Cayman Islands, Curacao, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, St Lucia, St Maarten, Suriname, and Trinidad and Tobago along with several Latin American countries have confirmed attendance.
The Moroccan Moustasane will be meeting with the AMBC countries two months before the AIBA elections scheduled for March 14 in Switzerland.
