The Ministry of Public Infrastructure has noted the concerns of residents in Mocha, East Bank Demerara, with regard to the holes in the access road as was published in a letter by another newspaper on September 19, 2019 under the title “Address these potholes on the Mocha Access Road”. We are pleased to inform that works are scheduled to rehabilitate the public road in the near future.
Chief Roads and Bridges Officer, Ron Rahaman, reported to the Ministry today that works are slated to commence on the road in October, 2019.
The Ministry takes this opportunity to thank the residents for remaining vigilant on the needs of their community and would like to emphasise our continued concern for the wellbeing of our citizens.
Together, we can and will continue to work towards the advancement of all communities and our country.
Yours in development,
Davina Ramdass
Public Relations Officer
Ministry of Public Infrastructure
