De Waterfalls paper publish a cartoon yesterday dat had nuff people smiling. Long ago church was a place to go for peace and salvation. Dem bandits decide to go there fuh riches. Some of dem even go there to rob people who going to church.
De odda day, some of dem break in a church and thief de speakers and de amplifier. Of course when dem thief something is to sell it suh dem had de speaker and de amplifier before dem find market.
When dem boys was growing up, dem hear old people seh whatever you do in darkness does come to light. If it didn’t mek sense then dem understand when dem see de neighbor daughter pregnant all of a sudden.
When de last set of thieves go in de church and thief de amplifiers and speakers, people see dem, although it was in de dark of de night. Dem get ketch.
Of course dem church start locking up dem door. De Brickdam Cathedral put grill round de door, so much so dat dem early church people had to stand up outside and wait till de caretaker open de door.
De cartoon shed a new light. A thief get ketch inside a church and de priest got a gun. It was not a case of de priest reaching out he hand to bless de thief.
But dat is only one side of de story. Some of dem who got church does thief from de congregation. One man sell water stain wid kite paper as some special thing; and people buy. Dat is how we gullible. Don’t talk bout de sex. Dat is anodda story.
One pastor now got AIDS because he trouble a sister who had it. When he find out, he forget de Scriptures wha seh, ‘Thou shalt not kill.’ He nearly kill de gyal. Even when she tell him dat she didn’t call him, he didn’t tek dat.
But is not all of dem stay so.
Talk half and enjoy de season.
