DEAR EDITOR,
I have read with some humour the recent resignation of the four members of the APNU. I must say that giving the autocratic and dogmatic utterance of Comrade Harmon, I was indeed surprised at their resignation. Obviously, the Christian president would like to appear as if he is a genuine believer in fairness, truth and honesty, but alas, the die was cast since December 21st, 2018.
This recent development did not occur overnight, but because of sustained pressure and shame brought to bear by the numerous criticisms by the opposition PPP, The Hon. Dr. Jagdeo, and the numerous letters reflecting the deep scorn with which the population has judged them.
This action by the “Fantastic four” is in direct opposition to the national sentiment that they have so vociferously pontificated, except for one ex MP,( he hardly talks) they all professed their love and devotion to our dear land of Guyana. Yet when it came to crunch time, they would not relinquish their foreign citizenship for the USA, Great Britain, not Canada, but they have ALL jumped ship. How ironic and shameful of these who were selling out and prostituting our natural resources to China and others.
I trust that Dr Clive Thomas is looking and that SOCU will garnish and freeze their bank accounts and other asserts for investigation. They may wish to send a letter immediately to those foreign missions in GUYANA under the Anti Money Laundering Acts that may exist under their respective laws
How shameful that these Fantastic Four did not see it prudent to follow the patriotic actions of the two Guyanese patriots in the PPP and choose to demonstrate that their hearts lie with the Guyanese people whom they choose to serve instead of with a foreign flag.
Respectfully,
Mr. R Kissoon
