The Christmas season begins with lots of work. There’s cleaning, decorating, cooking and preparing to welcome a few guests. But the season is one which mostly ends with family time. And what better way to spend that time through fun games and laughter. Below are just a few fun games to help make your Christmas celebrations a bit more exciting.
Game #1: Christmas Carol Pictionary Relay – Pictionary is usually a guessing word game but this time we are using Christmas carols. To being the fun:
Supplies: List of Christmas Carols on separate cards, paper and pens
Steps:
1. The family should be split into teams (Ideas for teams: boys against girls or maybe parents against children.)
2. Equip each team with paper and pens.
3. Assign a game master (this person assigns songs to the teams and count points).
4. Each team sends one person up to the game master who gives them the name of the name of a Christmas Carol on a card.
5. The player returns to group and in the manner of Pictionary tries to get the group to guess the name of the carol by drawing only.
6. When the group knows the song, they must sing it as a group until the game master gives the thumbs up sign (about 10 – 15 seconds into the song).
7. Once they get the thumbs up, the team sends a new person for another song. Play continues until one group completes all their songs.
