The Guyana Motor Racing & Sports Club (GMR&SC) will host its third and final Endurance Race meet of the year today at the South Dakota Circuit, Timehri.
The meet which is fast becoming an extreme fascination to Guyanese motor sports fans, will test the racers stamina, deftness and consistency.
This aspect of motor racing (endurance), is the form of motorsport which is meant to test the durability of equipment and endurance of participants. Teams of two drivers attempt to cover a large distance in a single event, with participants given a break with the ability to change during the race.
The pair of Anand Ramchand and Adrian Fernandes has shown that they are a formidable pair after winning the two previous meets of 2018 but today they will have to prove their machine’s worth with a full field of participants expected to take to the Timehri circuit.
The event which is being sponsored by Special Auto, B.M. Soat, Tropical Shipping, Hand-in-Hand Insurance, R. Kissoon Contracting, Jumbo Jet and Ansa Mcal will be free to the public.
