The Guyana International Kyokushinkai Martial Arts Academy (GIKMAA) has just concluded its final Exams of the year where 34 students took part in a Karate Exam under the watchful eyes of Dr. Nazim Yassim, moving from one level to the next. From Enmore 18 students, Wales 9 students, and Enterprise 7 students participated in the exercise.

As Chief Instructor Kelvin Walcott, Senior Instructor Maranda Bennett, Junior Instructors Umisha Parasram and Vikash Somwaru, Sampais Govind Ramkur and Bhudesh Shilchand have completed their 1st Dan Kobudo Weapons Exams and to complete their “D” level refereeing and Judging exams this weekend at the Yearend Inter-club Bragging Rights Championship.
The students put on an amazing display in their final out door training session in the national park two Sundays ago after which they received their certificates.
Dr. Nazim is very happy with the progress of his students and their discipline; they worked very hard for their exams, as he now looks forward to the Yearend Inter-club Bragging Rights Championship, this weekend at the Enmore community centre.
