I wish to express my profound gratitude and sincere thanks on behalf of the Muslims of Guyana whose population is approximately seventy five thousand, for the courtesy extended by your newspapers on Youmun Nabi.
The one page supplement on Prophet Muhammad (SAS) was very informative and enlightening. I didn’t observe any sponsors for this supplement, meaning your newspapers carried it as a mark of respect for the religion and its followers.
What was disturbing is that only three daily newspapers namely Guyana Chronicle, Guyana Times and Kaieteur News carried this supplement among other articles. The other daily newspaper chose not to carry it in spite of the Muslim’s support for it with their daily purchase and advertisements.
In light of the above, I wish to encourage the Muslim community to continue to support the aforementioned three daily papers.
Regards,
Tariq Ali
