Soldier among three arrested for stealing motorcycle
A member of the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) who resides at West Ruimveldt Housing Scheme is among three persons arrested for allegedly robbing a businessman of his motorcycle.
Nowaab Abdul, 53, a businessman of East Street, North Cummingsburg was robbed of one red Jailing 110 motorcycle, number CJ 5990 worth $198,000.
Police in a statement said that the robbery occurred between 21:30 hrs on Thursday and 04:00 hrs on Friday.
The matter was reported and an investigation was conducted and three persons were detained.
However, the stolen motorcycle was recovered at the home of joint service member.
