The National Draughts Association Annual National Championship concluded last Sunday at the National Gymnasium. The game was contested on the 100 square boards. It was yet another keenly contested competition, with top players vying for the crown.
Mark Braithwaite however, proved to be the better by winning four of his five matches. He amassed eight points to retain the Division’s title. Khemraj Pooranmall ended with a close seven points to take the second spot, while Jiaram with five points finished third. Steve Bacchus trailed on four points to snatch the fourth place.
