But as everybody know, a promise is a comfort to a fool. Look at the findings of the AG 2017 report.

-Auditor General found contractor’s Bills of Quantity to be significantly inflated;
-Contractor gets completion certificate, 90 percent of payment before works begin-AG Report;
-Guyana Post Office in over $20B debt
…Still to collect $9B owed by several agencies –AG Report reveals;
-Almost two years later, Public Debt System still to be fully automated –Auditor General;
-Public Health Ministry fails to return $1.62B in unspent funds to Treasury –Report;
-Procuring agencies fail to report contracts awarded in excess of $1.5M to Tender Board –Sharma;
-Auditor General unable to verify Govt.’s use of Lotto Funds for 2015 to 2017;
-Two Sugar Industry Funds not audited in 38 years, another in nine year;
-Contractor collects $112.1M for two projects last year; yet no works started;
-HDM Labs takes six months to supply two weeks “emergency drugs”
yet charges over $100M more than other suppliers;
-Auditors have trouble verifying lawful disbursement of PIDs worth over $12.8B;
-Govt. fails to implement at least half of Auditor General’s 2015 and 2016 recommendations;
-GDF certified and paid over $17M for nonexistent plumbing works;
-“I did the work before contracts were awarded”- Berbice contractor admits;
-Govt. used seven rooms at hotel to store drugs, items destroyed by termites;
-GDF car uses $3 million in gas in one year.
Tek dat one. And dis is only de tip of de iceberg.
De Audit man didn’t write bout de $25M rent per month for a bottom house drug bond in Albouystown.
He also didn’t seh anything about de threatening letter BK write to de Govt and get pay US$6million overnight from dem.
