News is going to emerge that one member of the Guyana Teachers’ Union was not prepared to accept any offer the government made. This was because that member of the executive was a close friend and supporter of Bharrat Jagdeo.
That is why even when the teachers were prepared to accept the offer and the union was happy news came out that another strike was in the offing.

Berbice is the hotbed of crime because while the police have been able to put a lid on the city criminal elements in Berbice are roaming almost free.
The good news is that the police are only one step behind the criminals and are catching them. The bad news is that prosecution is weak.
