Trainees from the Guyana Police Force Richard Fiakal Training College gave a fine display yesterday as they went about cleaning the environs of the Suddie Public Hospital, Essequibo.
Yesterday 29 police recruits along with Assistant Superintendent and two constables, engaged in cleaning and enhancement works around the Suddie Public Hospital.
Their work caught the attention of not only residents, but also the Regional Chairman of Region Two, Davenand Ramdatt.
Ramdatt who spoke on behalf of the Regional Democratic Council extended his appreciation to the recruits. The Chairman said that at present the RDC is making a dedicated effort to enhance infrastructural works and sanitation at the region’s leading health institution.
The support received from the police training centre, he noted, is timely. The RDC will develop a programme to enhance the environs of not only the Suddie Public Hospital but other government buildings.
