Police have apprehended the Kitty resident who allegedly ended the life of 20-year-old Richard Noel last Monday over a dispute they had a year ago.
A police official said that the suspect, Timothy McKenzie, was arrested on Wednesday night. He is likely to be charged following a postmortem on his alleged victim.
It is alleged that Noel, of Lot 39 William Street, Kitty, was in the vicinity of the Stabroek Bus Park at around 13:15 hrs on Monday when the suspect and another man approached him.
The suspect reportedly asked, “If Noel wanted problems?”
While the youth was walking away, the suspect allegedly followed and stabbed Noel twice in the chest. They reportedly also stomped him when he collapsed.
The injured youth succumbed on Monday night at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation.
Noel’s relatives alleged that the feud started last year after the suspect struck Noel’s sister.
The sister, Tatyann Green, said that
the two men also had a confrontation near the Kitty seawalls last Sunday.
