City Mall’s manager, Nezam Zaman and other officials with representatives of the organizations yesterday at the City Mall, Camp Street.
As part of the annual programme of his companies, prominent businessman, Nazar ‘Shell’ Mohamed, yesterday donated cash to several organizations.
The cash donations were made to the Blind Institute, Joshua House, and the Guyana Society For the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, among others, and would come as the Muslim community observe its month-long Ramadan observance.
During a simple ceremony yesterday at the City Mall, Camp Street, one of the businesses controlled by the Mohamed family, the mall’s manager, Nezam Zaman, explained that the gesture is a mere way of the businessman, his family and workers contributing to make the world a better place by reducing hardships.
He noted that it is a fact that people are facing losses to health, homes, with hunger and even death proving major challenges.
The Mohameds control a cambio and gold dealing operations on Lombard Street as well as Hadi’s World on Regent Street.
