Dear Editor,
The Department of Youth of the Ministry of the Presidency will once again observe National Youth Week this year from the 20th- 27TH of MAY 2018, with the Theme :Empowering young people to foster Youth and Community development through innovation.
On Sunday 20th May 2018 the National Youth Week Rally will be staged at Durban Park on Homestretch Avenue.
This Rally will be graced by youthful paramilitary organisations inclusive of Scouts, Majorettes, Pathfinders, and a number of youth groups from across the ten Administrative Regions of Guyana .
These groups will all participate in the march from the Parliament Building on Brickdam and will converge on the Durban Park Jubilee Site.
It is here that Brigadier (Ret’d) David Arthur Granger .President of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana will deliver a feature Address to the Nation’s Youth population inspiring patriotism, industry, innovation and cooperation nationwide, while young people will deliver cultural presentation to add flavor to the event.
All are invited to celebrate with our young people on this day at Durban Park.
