Guyanese man found dead in Suriname

The family of Colis Crawford aka ‘Duffu’, who was found dead in Suriname on Tuesday, is seeking the public’s assistance with transporting his body back home.
Crawford, who migrated to Suriname close to two decades ago, was found submerged in water in the vicinity of the boat he captained in Albina, a town in eastern Suriname.
Crawford was from Kingelly, West Coast Berbice, where his mother and other family members reside.
According to reports, his friend with whom he lived discovered his lifeless body.
Kaieteur News understands that the now dead man had been working as a fisherman and is said to have met his demise under “mysterious circumstances.”
Crawford’s family only became aware of his death after posts were circulated on FaceBook by his friends in the Dutch-speaking country.
