People suddenly believe that de whole of Guyana gun walk pun money once oil start flow. All who hungry suddenly believe that dem gun get food pun dem plate every day. Children who got to walk to school suddenly see demself getting chauffeur driving dem to school.
Well dem boys seh all who dreaming got to wake up and realize that all dem gun get is de crumbs. If de contract was better dem woulda get people wukking fuh dem and dem coulda afford to travel round de world on vacation.
Is a case wheh people does accept small mercies before dem reach fuh de skies. When Exxon find de oil was a case of de Man above seh is time Guyana get wha it deserve.
De Man Above didn’t mean that people must know that dem got resources and still got to beg.
Of course, de politicians now talking how all dem odda oil company got to negotiate a decent contract. That is a good thing except that Exxon gone wid all de oil suh if anybody find anything is de dribbling.
Everybody know that Exxon got a fairy godmother in Guyana. From de time dem find de oil de company announce that it gun double all de money it mek in one year.
De shareholders smiling all de way to de bank. Some of dem start planning to buy holiday house.
De people in Guyana can’t even buy a car right now. That is de difference.
Dem boys got to hope that de contract run out and Exxon sign a new one. This got to be done in a hurry because in another couple morning oil wouldn’t have no real value because people coming up wid alternative source of energy.
That is why dem boys wondering whether Guyana blessings come too late.
Talk half and hope Exxon decide to give Guyana wha it should get because time running out.
