Youth Basketball Guyana’s (YBG) Five’s Challenge Series bounced off yesterday at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall (CASH) with some good preliminary matches that were witnessed by scores of fans in the stands.
Fives’ Challenge Series is an exciting school basketball event which tips off the YBG year calendar. The event age categories include: Girls’ Open, Boys’ Under-14, 16 & 19, along with Past Students’.
The two-day event will also feature a number of novelty activities for players and fans to showcase their dribbling, shooting and passing skills for prizes today. This year for the first time the event will feature a slam dunk competition which will be completed today as well, along with the respective finals from 13:00hrs.
