The search for 52-year-old Karamchand Parbudyal of Grant, 1651 Crabwood Creek came to an abrupt end yesterday when his son-in-law discovered the missing man’s body along the Number 73-74 Foreshore. Tanuja Parbudya, the daughter of the now deceased man, told this publication that her husband, together with other relatives continued the search for her father early yesterday morning.
The search lead them to the aforementioned area when a body was spotted. Upon closer inspection by her husband, though swollen and discoloured, the missing man’s body was positively identified. The authorities were informed, and during their inspection of the remains no marks of violence were discovered. The corpse is presently at the Skeldon Public Hospital Mortuary awaiting a Post Mortem.
Meanwhile, the three fishermen who were in company of Karamchand Parbudyal when he disappeared have since been released from police custody, as seventy-two hours would have already expired. This was confirmed by Divisional Head Paul Williams. Karamchand Parbudyal commonly called “Dar” ended up missing during a fishing trip with friends in the Corentyne waters on Saturday.
