Dear Editor,
I am just wondering when and if the 25 young medex trainees who were all successful at their final exam, training between (2011-2015) with an extension of their programme into the first quarter of (2016) would finally get to attend their long awaited graduation this time around. We are almost in the month of August, and in a matter of months, University of Guyana would be churning out another batch of graduates, but would these medex students be a part of that ceremony?
I am writing this letter with the hope of it catching the eyes of our Honourable Senior Public Health Minister, Volda Lawrence. She sees and hears about problems and always tries to investigate, to get to the source of the problem. For this year, there was so many young people graduating almost every month and I kept wondering what was keeping these students from doing likewise. I could only imagine how these persons must be praying for that day when they could receive their certificates and be assigned to the various health centres across the country.
Frustrated student
