With all set before the much anticipated Four Horsemen Top Brandz Corona Emancipation one Day horserace meet entries close today.
Meanwhile, two more companies have handed over their sponsorship for the event which is set for tomorrow, Tuesday 1st August, at the Port Mourant (Big Yard) Turf Club, Corentyne Berbice.
Hardware Giants Toolsie Persaud Limited and Assuria Insurance Company have jumped on board as they sealed their sponsorship deal with the Four Horsemen group for the big horseracing day in Guyana.
The seven race meet has so far attracted over 55 entries with a prize package of over $5M in cash, trophies and other incentives up for the takings.
On Friday last, both the Toolsie Persaud Limited and the Assuria Insurance Company handed over the sponsorship package to Bobby Vaughn of the Organising Committee. Doing the honours for Toolsie Persaud was Supervisor Natasha Persaud, while Assuria Insurance General Manager Yougindra Arjune represented that company.
The feature event is for animals’ classified E3 non-winners for 2016 and 2017 and animals classified F and G that has not earned over $500,000 for 2017. The distance is 1300M for a winning take of $350,000 and trophy.
There is the Three Year Old Top Brandz Corona 1300M Classic for a top prize of $300,000 and the Top Branz Corona Beer Trophy.
Animals classified H3 and lower over 1200M will be running for a first prize of $300,000 and trophy. The 2 yrs old Guyana bred animals will be racing over 900M for a $250,000 reward and trophy. The race for I3 & lower animals will be a 1200M affair for a wining prize of $200,000 and trophy.
The J3 and lower animals and those 4 years and older and K class will be racing over 1100M for a winning prize of $150,000 over 1100M. The L class non earners of $150,000 in 2017 will be racing for a winning take of $120,000 and trophy over 1200M.

Among animals entered so far are-Witchy Poo, Storm Bird, Media Day, Climate Change, It’s MY Turn, Bridal stone Corner, Cat Messiah, Because I Say So, Super Bowl Midnight, Puppy Tail, King Stanley, Seven Dust, De Rock, Governa Ground Gal, Fresh Dancer, Supreme Cat, Natural Beauty.
Other sponsors on board are Top Brandz Distributors, Delmur Company Limited, Cummings Electrical, Attorney at Law R.N Poonai Fazal Habibulla of Hablaw Meat Center and Rising Sun Cattle Ranch, Sankar Auto Works –Valvoline, Fix It Hard Ware and Bothers Incorporated among others.
The top jockeys along with the runner up, the top stable and champion trainer will all be presented with trophies and other incentives compliments of the organisers.
