Since the introduction of the RAW or Classic format
of powerlifting, it has taken Guyana by storm and will once again the center of attraction when the Guyana National Powerlifting Federation brings off its Nationals.
This is set for the National Gymnasium come Sunday October 1st, 2017 from 07:00hsr when the weigh-in will be done.
Competition time is set for 09:00hrs and lifting will take the form of flights.
The likes of Carlos Petterson, ‘Big’ John Edwards, Vijai Rahim, Farouk Abdool, Phillip Romalho, Demetri Chan, Martin Webster, Sohail Hussain and Romario Gonsalves among others will be in the limelight.
On the distaff side, the likes of Nadina Taharally, the mother and daughter combo of Jackuelyn and Tineisha Toney and Britny Mack among others are expected to be on the platform battling for the top spots even as they aim to set new records.
