Complaints against Vreed-en-Hoop post office
Dear Editor,
Can you please publish this letter in your letters column as it is through this medium one would receive some resolution. We the Pensioners and Users of the Vreed-en-Hoop Post Office wish to register our disgust at a situation that has been reoccurring over the last few months.
The situation is as described – the Post Office cashes pension vouchers and as soon as a crowd builds up, an announcment is made that that all monies are finished. One wonders if this is a deliberate strategy in order to stagger out the work load over a given day. For example at 10am there will be such announcement, asking senior citizens to return the next day. However if one were hang around the area and revisit the Post Office, you would witness them recommencing the cashing of vouchers. Seniors citizens of this country are an asset and ought to be treated as such.
Additionally, consideration should be given to those senior citizens who require transportion by taxi to and from home to the Post Office. One must be cognizant of the fact that it depletes their actual spending money.
The Post Office operates on a “who knows who principle”. We plead for some intervention to be made for the benefits of the Senior citizens of this country.
