Two men accused of beating a man to death after he refused to stop staring at a threesome act they were involved in with another woman, were yesterday remanded to prison on a murder charge.
Elthon Gibson, 21, of Lot 171 Parika, East Bank Essequibo, and Dion Samuels, 19, of Bobagine Landing, Cuyuni River, were not required to plead to the indictable charge which alleged that on June 26, they murdered Kumar Persaud also known as Radika.
Based on reports, Persaud was reportedly beaten to death after staring at three people having sex on Third Avenue Beach, Bartica. He died while receiving treatment at the Bartica Hospital. A female was among three people arrested.
According to information received, the victim was asked to remove from the beach by the murder accused who were reportedly involved in a “threesome” but he refused and continued staring.
As result of this, he was given a severe beaten.
An eyewitness summoned police ranks to the scene where the men were arrested and the victim was rushed to the hospital in an unconscious state.
The two murder accused will make another court appearance on July 21.
