Dear Editor,
KIDS JOY FOUNDATION in collaboration with Food for the Poor Guyana visited Bethany Creek on Friday 26th May 2017 (Independence Day) to distribute mattresses, stove, rice, beans, children’s books and pillow cases to eleven (11) families. This is our 3rd visit to this community. We previously shared out clothes and books. This Amerindian community is in need of school supplies for their children so Kids Joy Foundation will be going back in August (before the new school term commences In September).
We are encouraging persons to come together and donate school supplies for these kids so we can all play a role in enhancing this nation’s education. Persons can drop off school items at 96 Bonasika & Sheriff St, Campbellville, Georgetown or call 645-3933. I want to say a special thank you to Food for the Poor Guyana for their consistent and generous donation they have extended to Kids Joy Foundation. Food for the Poor has donated many needed items over the years to us and has helped hundreds of persons who were struggling to make ends meet.
Diane Shaw
