We are begging Minister Volda Lawrence to correct this injustice

Dear Editor,
It was on October 20, 2016 that Cabinet cleared the New Minimum Wage for the private sector in which it was stated that Cabinet has approved a New Minimum Wage Agreement for Private Sector workers of $44, 000 ( forty four thousand dollars). Then on the 24 November, 2016 it was published again. Minister Volda Lawrence stated that as of January 1, 2017 businesses within the private sector will be required to pay their employees no less than $44, 000 per month in accordance with new National Minimum Wage Order issued by the Social Protection Ministry.
It was also stated that an employed person shall not be paid less than $ 255.00 per hour. January 1 2017 has come and gone. Labour Day, May 2017 has come and gone and we are still being paid $202.00 per hour, while risking our lives, facing possible murder and rape, as we protect not only state property but also the sweepers and cleaners who are receiving over $300,00 per hour.
I am begging and asking Minister Volda Lawrence, even though she has moved to another ministry to intervene and see to it that a certain guard service complies with the order of the Ministry of Social Protection and commence paying the new minimum wage of $ 255.00 per hour dating back from January 1, 2017 as per the New Minimum Order issued by the Ministry of Social Protection.
