For the third time, The Young Warriors Cricket Club fund raiser, Mash Cup 2017 is forced to be postponed due to heavy rainfall that has left the venue water logged.
This, the fourth edition was slated to be held yesterday at the picturesque Cumberland Cricket Ground, East Canje, Berbice.
A release from the Cumberland based cricket club said that it is very unfortunate that the tournament which was originally fixed for the traditional Mash period and then April 9, has to be rescheduled once again.
A statement from Rafeek Kassim, Club President indicated that everything was in place with excellent weather prevailing and then suddenly came the rain.
He said that the club has no control over God’s work and will announce a new date as soon possible. He advised that all tickets purchased will be valid for the new date.
In closing, Kassim thanked the sponsors so far for their support.
