The Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA) has extended two city tax sites to Tuesday.
The agency, overwhelmed with last-minute rushes at its office in time for the April 30th deadline, disclosed yesterday that the two sites are at the City Mall, Camp Street and Guyana Post Office Corporation, North Road.
The openings of the sites would exclude the weekend and Labour Day on Monday.
“Additionally, in an effort to facilitate taxpayers, Tax Sites established at both locations will close at 17:00hours (5:00pm) on Friday April 28, 2017 (today),” the entity said in its Facebook site. On Tuesday, the tax sites will come to a close at 16:00hrs (4:00pm).
GRA disclosed that all of its regional offices will be facilitating the submission of returns during normal working hours – inclusive of tomorrow Saturday April 29 and Sunday April 30, 2017 (08:30hours to 16:30hours).
