Road accidents are always something to cause concern. Drunk driving is prevalent in Guyana despite the efforts by the police to embarrass the perpetrators. There was one accident that was thought to be a hit. There will be another just days before the schools reopen their doors.
This one will occur in the western part of the country, largely because young people feel that they can still drive although they are intoxicated.

The police are going to be busy with the gun crimes occurring once more. Many of these young people who are now criminals simply failed to learn in school.
Another group is going to target a supermarket on the outskirts of the city. One will be captured almost immediately after, courtesy of security cameras.
**
The weekend will see another drowning, because at this time of the year the waters always seek human life. This one will occur at a popular swimming hole because children always try to make the last of the holidays.
