I was denied my right to make a presentation

Dear Editor,
I read with keen interest the article in one of the daily newspapers of the billions of dollars being spent on education, and I wonder how well spent is that given the continued dismal performance of students at both Grade School and Secondary school levels especially in Math and English. I thought I should let you know of the work of the Commission of Inquiry into Education.
My contention is that the Chairman of the Commission of Inquiry into Education, failed to discharge his mandate when he constructively denied me my legitimate request to make a presentation before the commission.
I am copying to you the letter and other documents I sent today to the Minister of Education protesting the Chairman’s actions. I trust you will see the relevance and importance of this to all Guyanese given the fact that 70 percent of the kids who sat the NGSA failed and 60 percent failed English in 2016. That means that over 10,000 kids are condemned to go to third-rate secondary schools.

· Another Infographic on the 99-page, text-dense, Education Sector Plan that displays the information visually to enable high-level decision makers to get a Big Picture view of the plan
