Dear Editor,
I would like or appreciate if you can publish my story in your letter column
On June 14, 2016, I was heading home from work as usual and a traffic rank attached to Vreed en Hoop station happened to stop me by means of speed gun and issued a ticket to me since I was going at 58km where as the speed limit is 50km. I have no problem with this since I commit an offense but it so happened that a car, white Avensis, heavily tinted ,came speeding down in our direction, going approximately over 80km with very loud music and the speed gun wasn’t put on him since is the policeman’s friend. It so happen some money was given to two policemen (names supplied) in front of me. Is this how policemen should serve and protect? I don’t think this is fair at all. They always are seen hiding behind a big tree at Vreed en Hoop
Concerned motorist.
