of an impressive gold chain for the Highest Goalscorer of the tournament yesterday.
The presentation was conducted at the entity’s business location on Robb Street and making the hand over was Proprietor Ferdinand Bacchus, who presented the gift to Petra Organisation Co-Director Troy Mendonca.
Bacchus speaking at the occasion said, “On behalf of the company we make this donation for the event’s highest goalscorer. I believe that football needs incentives like these to boost and motivate the players.”
According to Bacchus, the gesture represented the fourth year that he has donated to the tournament and urged other businesses to come forward and offer their support as well.
Mendonca in his response thanked Bacchus for the donation, adding that the assistance could serve as a stimulus for the players who are involved in organized sports.
He pointed out also, the tournament is being used as a medium to address the issue of Gender-based Violence which according to him is currently a topical issue in the country and one that is engaging the focus of relevant institutions with the aim of minimising or even eradicating the scourge.
He then thanked the entity for its continued support.
Other sponsors of the event include GTT, Lucky Dollar, Nigel Supermarket, Star Party Rentals and 2-J’s General Store.
