Police to investigate Golden Grove incident
Dear Editor,
Cognisant of an article published in the Kaieteur News, Thursday May 12, 2016, under the caption “Police-Soldier confrontation in Golden Grove,” the Commissioner of Police Mr. Seelall Persaud, DSM, has instructed the Police Office of Professional Responsibility to conduct an investigation into the alleged incident. The Commissioner has so informed the Chief of Staff of the Guyana Defence Force and has requested that the soldiers allegedly involved cooperate with the investigators.
