Man succumbs to stab wounds at GPHC
In the wee hours of Saturday morning a group of people on their way home from the White Castle fish shop found an unconscious man who appeared to be the victim of an assault. The man was transported to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment.
He was later identified as Gordon Ross, 26.
The now deceased was found lying on John Street a stone’s throw from the White Castle Fish Shop on Hadfield Street at around 2:00am.
He was reportedly stabbed multiple times and had several lacerations about his body. He also is said to have lost some teeth which indicates that he was severely assaulted.
Kaieteur News understands that up to noon yesterday no one has claimed his body. Investigations are ongoing.
