I plea for justice for the dismissed NBS managers
Dear Editor,
Concerning your April 1st report on the dismissed NBS Managers, I am shocked that this evil injustice continues despite the Ombudsman’s findings since 2014.
In addition to the findings of the courts where the matter was dismissed after no evidence whatsoever was provided against them by the DPP who had said she had overwhelming and compelling evidence when they were charged, and they were cleared of all charges.
I recall during the APNU/AFC campaign there were many posters with Mr. Nagamootoo’s photo stating that the Rule of Law must be respected so far no such thing have taken place.
As an overseas Guyanese I was hoping like all Guyanese both at home & abroad that this change in government would bring some justice for the people of Guyana. Here is Toronto, an Asian woman has sued the Bank of Canada for lending money that does not exist and.
The DPP and others identified by the Ombudsman blatantly disrespected the Rule of Law, so why no action by this Government? It is time the perpetrators of this heinous crime be investigated further and appropriate action taken.
It is time these managers be compensated, even though the money that will be paid to them can never undo the damages that were meted out to them and their families.
