Pune Warriors overcome Payless Combined
Pune Warriors defeated Payless Combined by 19 runs in a 20-over softball match played on Sunday at Demerara Cricket Club. Batting first Pune Warriors posted a challenging 193-7 off their allotted overs. Clyde Canterbury scored 46 as Ramo Malone and Rahaman Khan picked up two wickets each.
Payless Combined were off to a bad start losing the wicket of former national all-rounder Lennox Cush for two, but recovered to score 174-7 in 20 overs. Malone led with 87. The game was sponsored by Trophy Stall, Star Party Rentals, General Marine and Payless Variety Store.
