Birthday 6 amassed 81 games to win the final of the Lyall Gittens Birth Anniversary dominoes competition which was contested on Wednesday night at Strikers Sports Club.
Mix Up took the runner up spot with 79 games, while Thunder finished third on 77. Ken Wahl and Paul Thomas scored with 15 and 14 games respectively for the winners, while Gilbert Mendonca made the maximum 18 games and Mark Rodrigues 14 for Mix Up. Kevin Boston and Faye Joseph were Thunder leading players with 15 apiece. Mendonca took the MVP while Birthday 6 received a trophy and $130,000. Mix Up pocketed $60,000 while Thunder took home $30,000.
Meanwhile, Gangster Dominoes team will be hosting a 12-team 4-game tournament today at Adealide Street. Entrance fee is $12,000 and double six time is 15:00 hrs. Prizes will be announced just before play commences.
